King's Landing - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: King's Landing   King's Landing - Page 6 EmptyMon Aug 20, 2012 2:30 am

Jaime cupped Unossa's face and bent down, kissed her cheek. He hoped the smile on his face would reassure her. He knew what she was fearing, that things were going to change as soon as they were around everyone else. He wouldn't be kissing her or showing her the same kind of affections, but he wouldn't keep his affections a secret from anyone, either. He bowed and kissed her hand.
"Come with me, Unossa, and let's show off what bond we have formed."
He led her into the castle then, the dining hall the destination.
Gods help me against Cersei's wrath..

Unossa held on to Jaime's hand as if her life depended on it. If he left her side, she feared what might become of her sanity. It would be near impossible for her to say goodnight to him. She knew they'd be sneaking away to the meadow once more, which reassured her that their time alone was not over, but she was frightened at the idea of being away from the safety of his arms. There were many people in King's Landing that she knew could never be trusted.

"Don't leave me." She whispered only loud enough for him to hear.

Cersei is probably going to be plotting my death the entire time we are eating. She's probably going to pretend to be nice to my face and be sitting there imagining what it would be like to cut me up with her carving knife...

PostSubject: Re: King's Landing   King's Landing - Page 6 EmptyMon Aug 20, 2012 3:39 am

Since they had arrived in the hall they had gotten strange looks from everyone. Unossa's father was genuinely pleased to see them so close. There was only one other genuine smile at the table that evening, and it was planted on the deceiving lips of Cersei.
Jaime squeezed Unossa's hand beneath the table, desperately needing her comfort.

Cersei delicately placed the pork pot roast into her mouth, savoring the juices coming from the tender meat. She gazed at her brother, Jaime, across the table next to the girl, she had only recently discovered, who intended to wed him. This made her want to slice her throat, gut her, tear out her innards, and place them on display for all of the kingdom to see. She turned her sociopathic thoughts to joy for her brother, making it genuine adoration and pride.
"It's simply wonderful to finally see Jaime next to someone he could care for, and who so obviously cares for him so much already." She squinted her eyes and pulled her lips into a smile as she took a small drink of her goblet of wine.
"I do wonder though, how is it you two are so close already? You act as though you have known each other for more than just several hours. What is that you did together today, little dove?"

There was a smell coming through the cracks of his door that woke Art from his sleep. There was a succulent meaty smell, potatoes, tomatoes, onion.
Mm, what is that?
He kissed the top of Emeline's head, wanting to wake her, but not too harshly.
"Babe... I think we should wake up now..."
He felt like he could lie this way, next to her, for years, even lifetimes. He didn't want to leave the bed but the hunger that was now rushing through his body was already becoming too much.

Unossa held on to Jaime, knowing that he felt nervous showing how much he cared for her in front of Cersei. She also knew that Cersei was pretending to be nice. She knew for a fact that she was plotting ways to kill her. Horrible ways, no doubt. She ran her thumb back and forth on Jaime's hand, wanting to be there for him. She would also be lying if she said that she didn't need his comfort as well. She feared for her life. She didn't know how she'd be able to sleep at night knowing that Cersei was in the same building as her, wishing her life would end.

"We just went out on a horseback ride, down to a pond, and sat there to talk." Unossa glanced at Jaime and smiled. "He's very good at holding a conversation and yes, I feel as if I've known him my whole life. Just a wonderful connection, I suppose."

If you try to kill me I swear to the Gods that I'll find a way to destroy you first...

Emeline awoke from her slumber to Art gently waking her up. One look toward the curtain covered windows and she knew it was after dark. She gasped, sitting up and shaking her head. She knew that her foster mother and father would be worried sick about her and it made her stomach turn with guilt. How was she going to be able to explain to them why she was out so long without telling them that she had fallen asleep with a man. Not just any man, but a knight of the King's Guard. She took a deep breath and tried to calm down. She knew she'd come up with something.

"I'm going to be in so much trouble." She mumbled, a large frown planted on her face. "They're going to wonder why I never came home to check in. King's Landing is never safe for a woman after dark. Not alone after dark, anyway."

She thought for a moment. What was she going to say to them? How was she going to calm the nerves of these two people who had cared for her nearly her entire life.

"You'll need to escort me back. Maybe stay for dinner." She nodded her head. "They'll know I was safe if I tell them I was just walking around with you, talking, and we lost track of time."

King's Landing - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: King's Landing   King's Landing - Page 6 EmptyTue Aug 21, 2012 2:06 am

Jaime couldn't believe how Cersei was acting. He knew deep down inside she was devising some sort of scheme. Some horrible, twisted, cruel scheme to get Unossa out of the picture. Jaime didn't want that. Not in the least.
He sighed and tried to focus on Unossa's fingers under the table, worried that at any moment, Cersei's talons would come trashing from underneath the table, ripping her away from him, and swallowing her hole. He gulped, vividly imagining this in his head.
Gods, help us...

Cersei nodded to herself then. A pond and horseback riding. It sounded like he took her to his special place, but she couldn't be sure. And if that was what he had done, she was even more infuriated than before. He refused to take anyone to his meadow. She knew about it, of course. Even went looking for it herself sometimes. But it were as if the forest didn't allow anyone within that meadow without Jaime there beside them.
"That does sound lovely. What did you do near the pond, hm?"

Art thought about this for a moment and then nodded his head in agreement.
"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. From what I can tell, I don't have parents here. Ha. Sort of glad that I don't have to answer to anyone other than myself, since I was dismissed by Jaime Lannister."
Crap, Jaime!
"Oh man, I just remembered I was supposed to meet him at his chambers sometime this evening. Crap, he's gonna kill me, I'm sure of it."
He buried his hand between his knees and thought about the different ways the King Slayer would slay him.

PostSubject: Re: King's Landing   King's Landing - Page 6 EmptyTue Aug 21, 2012 2:24 am

Unossa knew that Jaime was freaking out. She could tell by the way he seemed to hold onto her hand more and more, as if it would disappear forever within his own. Cersei was angry, very angry, and she was doing a horrible job at hiding it. If she wasn't careful, her father would notice, and he would be going straight to her own father about it. Tywin trusted her father more than he did his own daughter. She would have to watch her step.

Oh, we just made out, tried not to fuck each others brains out, and I watched him pull his cock out and please himself. Take that, bitch!

"Well, I picked flowers after we watched tadpoles hatch from their eggs. It was quite the sight to see." She grinned, acting as if she didn't know Cersei wasn't truly interested in what she was describing. "After that we talked and I tried to teach Jaime how to make flower necklaces. He wasn't too great at that."

Unossa smiled over at Jaime, trying to get him to relax. She knew that he was feeling frightened for her. She knew that he knew just what Cersei would do to keep what she thought was her own. Unossa would need to have guards at her door. Guards that would only listen to her father. She was lucky that they had brought some, and good ones at that. They were well trained. Better than any man in the Knight's Guard, anyway. Except for Jaime, maybe, who would never harm her.

Emeline climbed off of Art and began to dress herself, a bit embarrassed that they had fallen asleep the way that they had. He cared for her, though, she could tell. When she had finished dressing she turned around to face Art, her cheeks a slight shade of pink. She had no regrets. What they had shared was very special to her. She waited for him to dress before speaking what was on her mind.

"What does this mean for us?" She wasn't sure what his answer would be, but she hoped that she'd like it.

King's Landing - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: King's Landing   King's Landing - Page 6 EmptyTue Aug 21, 2012 3:58 am

Jaime wanted to kick himself, so he stuck to doing it mentally. He felt this impending sense of doom coming his way and he knew there was no way that he could stop it. Cersei was a terrible force to be reckoned with, and he hated that he was now in her path of destruction. But what he hated even worse, was that Unossa was even more so than he was.
Cersei twisted her lips once more, this time it was far less than a smile.
"Tadpoles hatching and flower necklaces..." She dabbed her mouth once more and gestured for a hand servant to come to her. "You've gone soft on me Jaime." She smiled at him, both cheerful and menacing.
The servant approached and bowed, asking quietly what she wanted.
"Oh, such a good little servant, asking me what I want. Most already know what I want..." She stared at Jaime as she spoke to him. "I seem to have forgotten. You may go."
He bowed and walked back to his place, nearly shaking in his boots.
"It's so charming how they do exactly as I say, no concerns or quarrels along the way."

Art looked up at her then, knowing exactly what she was talking about. Still naked, and now somewhat hard from seeing her stand and change, he stood and took her in his arms, pressing his lips to hers. He kept kissing her for a few minutes before pulling away and speaking.
"I'm yours now. I'm not going anywhere. You were my first, and I want you to be my last... What say you?"
He twisted his lips into a small, sheepish smile. He felt like a teenage girl who just had sex for the first time. It was ridiculous to him.

PostSubject: Re: King's Landing   King's Landing - Page 6 EmptyTue Aug 21, 2012 4:06 am

Unossa shot a glance at her father at that moment. Anyone watching Cersei would have known that she was trying to intimidate her. She was met with a knowing glance that only she would have been able to read. Her father would not stand for this, even if he didn't know the grounds for Cersei's rudeness. She knew that King Robert and Tywin Lannister would both side with her father. Robert did not trust her and knew what her true nature was. He thought he was invincible though, and anyone who had watched the show would know he wasn't. She was going to make sure that he didn't get killed on that hunt, and if she couldn't she 'd find a way to help someone else take it from Joffrey. If he did rise to to be King, her and Jaime would have to be far away and married by then.

"I believe only a true man can enjoy the beauty in life, even if the beauty is tadpoles and flower necklaces." She smiled. "Also, the necklaces were to humor me."

There was no way she was going to let Cersei bully her. She knew a lot more about life than Cersei. She also knew how to fight. A great martial arts background would come in handy against this woman, that much she knew. She silently thanked her brother, wherever he was now, for making her take lessons with him for over ten years of their lives.

You will not win. He's mine.

Emeline was beyond happy at the response that had come from him. She wanted the exact same. She wanted him to be the only man she would ever love for the rest of her days. It was not that she was already in love, but it was so unavoidable that her heart already fluttered in her chest as if she were.

"I say that I wouldn't imagine things any other way." She kissed him once more and then backed away. "Now, get dressed so that I can get home before they get too worried."

Trust me, I'd love to stay here and have you take me again, but we just can't...

"I'm really happy that I ran into you..."

King's Landing - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: King's Landing   King's Landing - Page 6 EmptySun Aug 26, 2012 11:07 pm

Jaime was pleased with the fact that Unossa was able to take the threat and brush it off. He knew this wasn't going to end well, whatever happened. He noticed she and her father exchange a look, and he wasn't sure if he had caught on to Cersei as well or not. He hoped he did, but at the same time, he hoped he had not. He needed to speak with his sister privately after supper.
"I have to admit, I did have a rather good time. I was surprised myself."
He smiled happily at Unossa, taking her hand kissing it openly in front of everyone. He saw Cersei tighten her jaw and dig her fork's handle into the table.

Cersei almost gagged at the thought of her brother acting the way this girl was describing. He sounded like a lovesick puppy, and she hated it. He was only supposed to show his affections towards her, and her alone. This girl was ruining everything they had worked for. And it had to stop.
"Well I'm certainly glad that the two of you are enjoying each other. I trust you will be traveling with us onto Winterfell as well, little dove? We should be leaving rather soon, actually. I would hate to part the two of you while you are such in a delicate part of the... relationship."

Art couldn't help but smile. He, too, was glad that she had run into him. It was probably the best thing that could have happened to him while being here in his new life. And he wanted nothing more than to make sure this lasted with her.
"You have no idea how much I agree with that, babe. No idea at all. Now come on, let's hurry before they worry too much. I'm starving anyway. Ha ha! I hope they have dinner waiting."
He couldn't help but continue to laugh as he finished dressing and guided Emeline out of the building.

King's Landing - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: King's Landing   King's Landing - Page 6 EmptyWed Aug 29, 2012 11:32 pm

Unossa saw out of the corner of her eye that her father was pleased. He was glad that they had already taken to each other. His plan would work and she knew he was trying with all of his might not to jump for joy. She also knew that he was for sure well aware of the way Cersei was acting. He would look pleased one moment and then angry and apprehensive the next. She also knew that only she could tell when his emotions would change, which to her was odd.

The fact that Cersei was calling her "little dove" made her want to get up and strangle her. She knew she called girls that because she didn't much care for them. She would call Sansa that soon enough. Unossa made a silent promise to protect Sansa and Arya in any way that she could. They would need it.

"I suppose I will be, yes. I couldn't imagine leaving Jaime's side so soon." She looked over at Jaime and beamed at him.

This is going to be quite the adventure...

Emeline was glad to be heading back to her home, but wouldn't enjoy having to say goodnight to Art later that night. There was no way her foster parents would let him stay with her. They wouldn't know, of course, that they had already bedded each other. She would keep that a secret, of course.

"She's a really lovely woman." Emeline was describing the woman who had taken her in. "She seems to really care for me, even though I'm not biologically her child."

Emeline looked up at Art and knew her face was full of adoration. He was the most extraordinary and beautiful man she had never met. It was odd to her that he was from her own time, though.

King's Landing - Page 6 Empty
PostSubject: Re: King's Landing   King's Landing - Page 6 EmptyThu Aug 30, 2012 2:21 pm

Jaime glanced at Lord Agosse and noticed something he hadn't before: his mood was changing everytime he heard Cersei speak.
So he doesn't like my sister, hm?
He turned his attention back to Unossa and grinned down at her, just as she was grinning at him. He was pleased to hear that they would be travelling with them. It was going to make the trip all the more exciting, and tolerable seeing as his sister was now out for blood. This way, he would be able to keep an eye on Unossa and make sure nothing happened to her.
"I am very pleased to hear that, my lady. It would be dreadfully boring without your company," he turned to Cersei as he spoke the last few words, "I assure you."
He didn't know why he was taunting his sister's wrath. But he was sure he would regret it later that night.

Disgust. That was what Cersei was feeling at that very moment for everyone at that table, aside from her three children. Nothing was going the way she had planned. This girl had ruined everything.
"You would have had me as company, Jaime. We always tend to make the best out of situations, you know that."
She smiled sweetly at him, wondering what it was she did that had angered him so. He never treated her this way. It was breaking her heart.
She stood then, feeling tears choking her in the back of her throat.
"Would you excuse me, please?" she said to no one in particular.
Out of the corner of her eye she saw Jaime stand. She shot such a hateful and hurt look in his direction, he immediately sat back down.
You will pay for this, Unossa Agosse. You will see...

Art smiled and let out a small laugh at her. He found it cute the way she spoke of this woman, who she obviously hadn't known before today. It was all too sweet how she cared for her already.
"I'm sure she is a lovely woman, Emeline. After all, look how you turned out."
He gave her a playful wink. It was more than apparent that how Emeline was had absolutely nothing to do with this woman or the man that was supposed to be her adopted father. He let himself laugh a little and gave her a quick hug.
"I am excited to meet them, though."

PostSubject: Re: King's Landing   King's Landing - Page 6 EmptySun Sep 02, 2012 10:37 pm

It was bad, but Unossa felt smug. Cersei had taken off upset, obviously hurt by Jaime's feelings for her. She was happy that Jaime was so fond of her already and was glad that he wasn't afraid to show it in front of Cersei, but knew that they probably shouldn't have made her angrier than she already had been. She looked to Jaime and smiled at him worriedly, squeezing his hand and looking for reassurance and comfort. She really hoped that she would find it there.

She is going to try and kill me. I don't know if she'll do it herself, but I better be prepared for anything.

Emeline walked through her front door and found her mother sitting there, cross-stitching something. She seemed to love sewing, Emeline observed, because there were a lot of sewn things all around the house. When the woman looked up she smiled and then her eyes grew a bit wide. She probably didn't expect to see a knight of the guard there in her home and Emeline knew she was probably suspecting that she was in trouble. Emeline smiled reassuringly and turned to motion at Art.

"This is Art, mother." She knew that her adoration for the man was probably going to be obvious to see. "He accompanied me around King's Landing today."

Jaime stood as Cersei left the room, attempting to show his respect for his dear sister the Queen. He frowned at her back, and took his place back at the table. He couldn't believe that this was happening to them. He sighed, taking Unossa's hand in his once more, and smiled at her sadly.

"I apologize for that, my lady. It wasn't supposed to be like this."

He kissed the top of her hand, not minding that everyone around the table could hear and see their conversation.

Art grinned as the woman approached them, she looked sweeter than apple pie. He took her hand, placed his lips gingerly on the slightly wrinkled skin.

"I'm very pleased to meet you. Emeline has told me many things of you in our day together. You sound like a remarkable woman."

He bowed his head softly, hoping he was making a good impression. He turned to the woman beside him, smiled lovingly at her.

I couldn't be happier...

Unossa smiled at Jaime, glad that he was by her side. She could tell that he truly was sorry for his sister's actions and that he truly cared for her well being. It made her heart swell and she longed to kiss him in that moment. She refrained, though, not wanting to shock everyone else that surrounded them at the table. She looked up into his beautiful eyes and let him see the care she had for him in her own. She could not have asked for a better man.

"It's quite alright, Jaime." She whispered, trying not to dote on him too long. "I am just glad that you are here."

Emeline could somehow tell by the expression on her foster mother's face that she was impressed by the man in front of her. She obviously thought him handsome and was proud to see that he was also polite. She raised her eyebrows at Emeline as he placed his lips on her own hand. Emeline grinned from ear to ear, glad to see that her choice in a man to spend her time with pleased the woman who had raised her. It made her heart warm and gave her stomach butterflies. She only hoped that her foster father would be as pleased. She would discover that later, she felt.

"I was wondering if it would be alright with you if he accompanied us for dinner?" Emeline asked sweetly.

"Of course, darling." She looked up at Art approvingly. "He can come for dinner whenever he likes."

Wow, she really DOES like him.

She looked over at Art sweetly, waiting to see his reaction to this news.

Jaime smiled at Unossa once more before turning back to his plate and finishing his meal. He looked up at the rest of the company at the table from time to time, making polite chatter and answering any questions anyone might have raised about their outing and the plans he may or may not have.

When Unossa's father looked at him curiously, he looked away, embarrassed. There was a look in the man's eyes that showed he knew something that was being left unsaid. And if he did know such things, Jaime could very well be in danger.

He waited until her father was occupied with Robert to voice his concerns with Unossa.

"He knows. I know he does. You have to look at him and study him to find out. See how he looks at me..."

Art couldn't help but smile from joy. He was glad to see that he had passed inspection from he mother. A full belly didn't seem like a horrible thing every night from here on out, and if it was with Emeline, it was an even more delightful thought. He bowed at his waist once again at her mother.

"Well I would be honoured, if I should say the least. Thank you for welcoming me."

He smiled adoringly at Emeline, so thankful to have run into her that day.

Unossa wanted to laugh at Jaime, because she knew that he was being paranoid. The only thing that her father knew was that Jaime had feelings for her and he didn't what the man to hurt his daughter. Instead she only smiled and squeezed his hand reassuringly. She then leaned over to whisper into his ear. Half of the reason she chose to whisper was so that only he could hear, but the other half was for dramatic effect. She wanted to make him nervous before letting relief was over him.

"Oh, he knows alright." She whispered and then paused for a moment. "He knows that you are pining after me and don't want you to bring harm to his young daughter."

She backed away and winked, hoping she had the effect on him that he had been going for. He was so cute, especially when he was nervous.

Emeline helped her mother to set the table as the dinner was nearly finished. Her father would also be due home at any moment. She was nervous for him to meet Art, but knew that her mother would quickly let her father know that Art deserved his trust. He would then see for himself and all would be well. She looked over at Art and couldn't help but grin. She loved being near to him and would be miserable if he were taken from her now.

"Don't look so nervous." She teased.

She knew that he was anxious to meet the man who had "raised her". It was adorable seeing him sitting there nearly shaking in his boots.
