Our Grimm RPG Empty
PostSubject: Our Grimm RPG   Our Grimm RPG EmptyThu Sep 10, 2015 2:45 pm

Delanie looked down in the passport in her hands as she walked into customs in the Portland International Airport. She had just landed and seventeen and a half hour flight was already starting to wear on her. Two layovers, in Toronto, Canada and Chicago, Illinois had luckily given her enough time to get some real food in her stomach, but it still managed to grumble in irritation regardless. She handed the red passport over to the woman sitting behind the counter and waited for her to stamp it, all the while glancing over at her younger sister to check on her. She hadn't wanted to come along, but hadn't voiced it. Delanie knew, though. Allsún longed for a different life, something more simple, but the cards that had been dealt to her were anything but simple. Delanie felt bad, in some ways, but knew that she couldn't let her guilt eat at her. They had a job to do. They had to find the Grimm, Nick Burkhardt, before he did something to get himself killed.

Allsún handed her passport to the man behind the counter without so much as a word. He hadn't looked friendly anyway, and she figured any half ass attempt at starting any for of conversation would only be something she'd regret in the end. Instead she just glanced around at the people standing around the room. A few were coming from Ireland themselves, but many from other areas of Europe. She was jealous, knowing that many of them probably came for vacations or easy business trips where they would soon return home. She was stuck there, and for how long she had no clue, all because some guy had to go and become a Grimm. He had to be half a world away and it forced her to leave her home behind. She had been told all her life this day would come, and maybe she secretly had hoped it wouldn't, and the promise of a Grimm appearing that she would one day have to protect had come true. God help him.

Bastian fumbled for his phone, hands trembling and breath shallow, quick. What he had just witnessed was something that he wished he could unsee, but knew it was impossible. He glanced around him, making sure there was no one near before dialing the local police station to call in the robbery that turned into murder. It seemed more intentional than just that for some reason, though. The victim was practically slaughtered, as if an animal had attacked him for his entrails. To him, that meant it had been a wesen. But why would there have been an attack like this and made to look like a robbery gone horribly awry? He climbed the man's steps to see the place where he had been left to bleed out. The door was left ajar, so he could easily get inside. Careful not to upset the crime scene, he tread lightly around the body and examined the room. His belongings were strewn about the entry way, mirror broken, boxes toppled over with its contents spilling onto the floor. The suspect took excellent care to make it look like they took something. But from what he could tell, that's all that it was. A stage.

What in the world?...

He finally found his voice long enough to call the police department and let them know of the murder. He agreed to stay around to give a full statement and walked back onto the porch for some air. He didn't understand what provoked him to venture into the man's home, but he knew that if the police found out that he did, it would look highly suspicious.

Foster looked around at the people making their ways through the busy building. The Portland airport was always full, and he usually found decent entertainment here. He wandered around for a while, took an occasional stop at a water fountain for a drink, and then made his way into a nearby restroom. He washed his face and hands, checked the bruise that was forming on the side of his forehead and reaching his cheek, and then sneered at his reflection. The night before, he had fought with another kid over territory in the park. Foster had been sleeping there for a couple of nights and the other kid came back from some "business" elsewhere. The benches apparently were a part of his territory in the park and he wanted Foster out of there. The two of them threw punches until both were chased off by someone trying to break them apart who had been walking through the area.

He sighed, knowing that he couldn't keep living this way forever. More than anything, he wanted to have a home again. But he couldn't grab a job to get himself his own place, therefore it seemed as though his dream were very far in the distant future.

"Ugh.. Shit.."

He tightened his grip on the strap of his backpack before walking out the door and back out into the hustle and bustle of people. He rounded a corner and saw two girls getting their passports dealt with. He leaned up against the wall and observed, wondering if anything interesting were going to happen.

Delanie took her passport back and turned to look at Allsún. She was just about to comment about finding dinner when she felt a pair of eyes on the back of her head. She waited for Allsún to make eye contact with her and then blinked her eyes four times, letting her know they were being watched. Allsún didn't react, which is exactly what was expected of her, and merely took her passport back from the man that had just stamped it. Delanie smiled, thanked the man, and began to lead the two of them toward baggage claim. She wasn't sure who was watching them, and they didn't feel like a large danger, but she never appreciated someone staring eyes into the back of her.

"I'm starving." She mumbled, baggage claim just forty feet up ahead. "I think we should go for Mexican food. We never get to have Mexican food."

She squared her shoulders, wondering if the person who was watching would follow them.

Allsún had caught a short glimpse of a teenage boy leaning against the wall and watching them, but managed in an instant to make it seem like she hadn't noticed him at all. She couldn't relay this information to her sister, because it could be dangerous to do so. Yeah, he looked like a kid she could flip over her shoulder and onto his ass with one hand, but looks could easily be deceiving. She had learned that the hard way once, when a fourteen year old boy bit into her side and left a nasty scar she had to look at every time she got naked in front of a mirror.

"Fine, Mexican food is fine, but tomorrow we have sushi for dinner." She grabbed her bag as it turned around the baggage claim and tried to get a sense for the area around her. Had he followed them to baggage claim?

Annika took a deep breath, staring up at the Portland Police Department as it loomed over her. This had been her dream, something she'd worked for half of her life, and though it was finally coming true she felt like she could throw up out of fear. What if she failed at this job and they ended up firing her? What would she do then? Maybe she'd be too nice to someone and they'd think she was soft. No, she couldn't have that. She needed this job to work out. She had spent far too many years studying and working hard to see this happen.

She pushed open the front doors and began walking down the hallways. Only a few people payed her any mind, and only one woman was nice enough to greet her. She turned a corner and found herself lost. Great...this is just what I need!

"Hello, excuse me?" She attempted to stop a portly officer who was walking past her, coffee cup in hand. "I'm looking for a Captain Sean Renard."

He had told her where to find him, and not without looking her up and down first, and she rolled her eyes before heading in that direction. Please let this guy be nice and easy to work with. Please don't let him hate me.

Bastian held on tightly to his coat sleeves as he relayed to the detective what he had seen. Nick Burkhardt seemed to be a kind man, very dedicated to his job and what it stood for. Nick reassured him that he was in no way a suspect with the case and thanked him genuinely for everything he had done for the man's family and friends. The night wasn't cold, but Bastian's body was freezing. All he wanted to do was get back to his studio and take a hot shower, wipe away the invisible grime melted onto his skin from the night.

The force thanked him, sending him on his way after completing the questioning, and he found his way back to his car. After safely inside, he took a few moments to himself before starting the engine. He could feel his heart still pounding in his chest and he was trying with all of his might to keep from woging. The police were still around and he couldn't risk letting that side of him  out just then. He was in such an emotional state that he was sure one of them would see the beast inside of him emerge. And God forbid one of them be a Grimm.

He took some deep breaths, ran his fingers through his hair, and drove towards the place he currently called home.

Foster waited several beats before kicking himself off the wall to follow the two girls. They seemed like they were really close. By their body language, they were either lovers or sisters. His guess was the latter, though. He noticed they were heading towards baggage claim and was curious to see how many things they brought with them. It would allow him to gauge what sort of trip they were on.

He wove his way through the tight crowd until he was only a few feet behind them. He heard them talk about what kind of food they wanted to eat and then there was silence. He had the feeling that they either already knew he was there, or that they would shortly. In either instance, he didn't care. He didn't have anything better to do, so why not possibly get into it with two beautiful, young women?

Sean was sorting paperwork on his desk and simultaneously talking with someone in the filing department about a missing folder for a case he had recently closed. The woman on the line was making him irritated and he couldn't help but talk sternly at her. She couldn't grasp that he didn't misplace it, but that it was never given to him in the first place. This was enraging him.

"Why don't you get it, Ilene? I've tried telling you about a hundred times now: I never had the damn file, it was never put on my desk. Your people down there have it somewhere and I need it. Find it. Now."

He pressed the button on his desk phone that ended the call and noticed there was a young woman standing inside his doorway. He took a deep breath and looked her over, taking in her brightly shaded hair and slender figure immediately. He cleared his throat and stood, proceeding to apologize.

"I'm sorry you had to hear that. I'm Sean Renard, Captain of the police department. You are?"

He had his hand extended, hoping that it would offer some sort of peace offering. He really hadn't intended on the conversation getting so heated.

Delanie picked up her duffle bag, secured her computer bag to her rolling bag, and figured it was time for them to go find a hotel before dinner. She figured she'd see if the kid, who she finally had caught a glimpse of, would follow them outside. She'd deal with him there if she had to. They'd have to wait until the following day to rent a car, so she'd have to grab a taxi once they got outside. She hated the prices of American taxis, but she'd have to suck it up. She had a job to do and that job started the next day. A good night's sleep was instrumental so the sooner they got checked in, fed, and unpacked the sooner they would get to go to sleep.

She looked at her sister and blinked five times. She was warning her to prepare herself. She was going to make contact with the kid as soon as they rounded the corner outside of the airport.

Allsún took a deep breath as they headed out into the night, not wanting to have a confrontation with this kid but knowing it was necessary. She waited until the turned the corner, dropped her bags quickly, and swung around. Her lunged forward, wrapped her hand around the boys neck, and had him pinned up against the wall before he could even realize what was happening.

"Mind telling us why you feel the need to follow us?" She narrowed her eyes, staring straight into his and squeezing a bit tighter around his neck before letting him go. "Don't give me a reason to put you back against the wall."

Annika had just witnessed Captain Renard, her new boss, telling someone off on the phone. So much for nice... She was just about to turn away and go wait for him somewhere else when he hung up the phone and noticed her there. She took a deep breath, listened to him speak, and watched as he held out his hand to her. Maybe I just caught him at a bad moment...?

"Hello, Captain Renard." She placed her hand in his and nearly gasped out at how warm it felt around her own small hand. She quickly gained her composure, cheeks probably unavoidably red, and smiled. "I'm Annika Uhrig, your new profiler."

She took this chance to look over the features of his face and felt her heart start to pound heavily in her chest. She never found herself thrown by a man, especially not by his looks, but Captain Sean Renard didn't seem like your typical man. There was something there. Something deeper...

Freja rounded the corner, looking into a tip that someone had given her about a murder in a neighborhood a mere ten minute drive from her own. She could see the flashing lights of the cop cars as she tried to find a parking spot. Portland saw plenty of murders, yes, but you never knew when you'd find a story that stood out. She never took the chance on missing out on one.

She watched as policemen, detectives, and a few forensic people walked in and out of the building. She was hoping someone she knew would be on the scene and she'd manage to squeeze some information out of them. She watched carefully until she recognized the coroner's assistant, a kid named Ryan. She waved at him, and the big goofy smile that crossed his face immediately told her she had her story.

"What happened, Ryan? Did someone get hurt?" She put on her best worried expression and when he frowned sadly she knew it had worked.

He had explained to her that someone was brutally murdered, almost anticlimactically, and no one knew yet what the motive was. Robbery, maybe, but that seemed unlikely. Maybe revenge, he had mused, and she nodded her head sadly. Just as she was about to ask more questions she noticed two men walk out of the building. Detectives, probably, and if they saw her talking to Ryan they might get suspicious. She took a deep breath, bid Ryan farewell, and began to scurry off toward her car.

Foster took a couple of moments to catch his breath before finding words to respond to this incredibly strong young woman before him. He wouldn't have taken her as the violent type, but this was where the saying "don't judge a book by its cover" came to light. He cleared his throat, rubbing it gently yet firmly with his hand. They were acting as though he were following them to hurt them in some way, or something along those lines. He wondered even more what they were doing there in Portland and it made him want to stick around them even longer. But the truth of the matter was, he had only followed them because he was bored and had nothing better to do.

"First off, my name's Foster. Nice to meet you." He smirked and ran his fingers through the oil-soaked strands of his hair. "Secondly, I honestly was only following you because I wanted to see a little bit of what your stories were..." He shoved his hands in his pockets before leaning up against the concrete wall. "I had nothing better to do..."

He looked up through the mess of his hair and peered at them both. They were very beautiful women, and he could tell from the accent coming out of the one in front of him that they were from Ireland. He cocked his head to the right, trying to examine them even further while she gauged whether or not they could trust him with what he was saying.

Bastian got home within several minutes and turned the light one, flooding the room in a bright glow that contrasted the outside. He squinted, trying to get used to the change, and pushed through the door while closing it at the same time. His window was left open and he could tell that an animal had made its way into his place once again. He sighed, taking his coat off and hanging it on the hook by the door. After he finished with that task, he went on the hunt for whatever animal was probably still inside.

He looked behind the sofa and found nothing, in the cabinets and still came up empty handed, but when he wandered over to where his bed was hidden behind some room dividers, he noticed there was a small spot under his blankets that was very obviously breathing. He sighed, knowing exactly who this culprit was, and sat next to the spot on the bed. Tucking his hair behind his ears, Bastian slowly moved the bottom of the blanket up to reveal the small, curled up figure of the five month old kitten that frequently found his way inside.

"I think this is the final straw... I think I'm going to have to give into you this time, little guy."

The small and dirty thing looked up at him while it stretched, meowing in the process. Bastian rubbed the animal's belly, wondering how he was going to care for the little guy. It's not like I have the extra money...

Sean was glad that she took his offering of peace with the handshake, and was pleased to hear that she was his new profiler. The department was in desperate need of some new perspective and it was about time they had someone who seemed intelligent. It was an added bonus that she was easy on the eyes.

Keep it together, Renard... She's an employee. Always a bad idea...

He cleared his throat and loosened his tie just a bit before taking a seat and motioning for her to follow.

"Please, have a seat. I wanted to talk to you a bit more personally before sending you out to the wolves." He pointed outside his office as he said "wolves", indicating the rest of the employees working in the station.

He looked her over again, this time taking in the details of her outfit, the way she styled her hair, the colour of her eyes, the shape of her breasts... He shook his head and messed with the files on the desk in front of him, needing a distraction.

"So on your resume, it said that you were just finishing your schooling. What made you want to become a Personality Profiler in the first place?"

Delanie looked this kid, Foster, over and let out a long sigh. Obviously the kid was homeless. His hair gave him away more than anything. How long had it been since he'd been able to wash it? She bit down on the inside of her lip, trying not to offer him help. She had known quite a few homeless kids back in Ireland growing up and her mother always did her best to take care of anyone who happened to stop by. It became a thing, and eventually those homeless kids went on to bigger and better things. They just needed someone to believe in them. She mentally kicked herself, knowing that thinking of her mother would only push her to want to help more. Her mother would surely scold her if she didn't.

"You hungry?"

Allsún's eyes widened in shock at her sister's question. Delanie had always had a good feel for people, and knowing when they were lying or telling the truth, and she usually just went along with it. However, she hadn't even had the time to calm down from pinning him against the wall before Delanie had made her verdict. It threw her a bit.

"You're inviting him to dinner?"

Delanie merely nodded and Allsún knew there was nothing more that could be said. He would end up having dinner with them, if he wanted, and who knew how long he'd be sticking around after that.

"Fine, if he wants. But he needs to get a shower first, at our hotel." She looked at the greasy hair he was running his fingers through. "No offense."

Annika had barely noticed, but managed to see that Sean was uncomfortable. Once his eyes scanned her breasts she knew why. He was trying damn hard to respect her, unlike many other men she had come into contact with, and he was having a rough time. Honestly, she was having quite the rough time herself. She could see the hard muscles under his shirt, moving as he moved, and felt heat stir between her legs. What was it about this man that had her so bothered? It's not like she was completely oblivious to men, because she had done her fair share of dating in college, but she had always had a laser focus. Some laser focus that was turning out to be now.

"I'm sure I can handle a few wolves." She tried to throw some humor out there, hoping it would distract her enough to get through this conversation. "As far as why I chose this profession...I've always had a knack for people. What drives them, why they do what they do, and who can and can't be trusted. My father was a lawyer, which I guess may have helped hone that skill in some ways, but I watched my father lose cases because of bad profiling. I watched monsters get away. I want to make sure that doesn't happen."

She shook her head, trying to get out of the deep and dark place she had just gone to. She remembered one case in particular that still had chills going up and down her spine. That man was still out there, somewhere, and doing who knows what to women once more. Maybe she'd get her chance to take him down...someday.

"Sorry. That got a little intense." She smiled, leaning forward in the chair just a little bit, still feeling that warmth taking over her insides. So much for being distracted...

Freja managed to get to her car unnoticed, unlocked the driver's side door, and climbed inside. She looked into the passenger's seat and grabbed her notebook, quickly jotting down the address of the place and what Ryan had shared with her. If nothing else she could find out who lived there and maybe that would string up a story. Maybe not a story full of facts, but a story none the less. Her boss didn't always need the facts. Sometimes something dirty worked just as well.

She put the key in the ignition, took a deep breath, and started the car. She looked over toward the scene again, shook her head, and began to drive away. Those detectives had ruined her chance to get more details. If only she had shown up earlier. Maybe she could have gotten Ryan to agree to get drinks. That would have got him talking. Yeah, and would have made him think you wanted more than a talk. She shook her head again, turned the corner and headed toward home, ready to write what she could to turn in the next morning.

Foster gulped, feeling the rumbling in his stomach about to give away his hunger before he could vocalize it. He didn't want to accept anything from them, he was too proud, but he didn't have any money left on him and he knew it would only be a matter of time before he had to dig through trash again to find something edible. Reluctantly, he nodded.

"Thanks... A shower doesn't sound too bad either. I think it's been a couple weeks since someone last offered me one..."

He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair once more, feeling defeated and, ultimately, deflated. He hated accepting charity. He also didn't ever fully trust anyone's intentions. With these women, it seemed as though what they tell you is what you get. With most women it's that way. It's the men you generally have to worry about. He shuddered at the thought and looked at the one who had choked him against the wall.

"You're a lot stronger than you look. I won't misjudge you again, that's for sure... What're your names?"

Bastian warmed a small dish of milk up in the microwave and placed it on the floor so the kitten could get a little something into his stomach. He watched as he carried his small legs towards the dish and lapped up the warm treat. He sighed, folding his arms over his chest, and leaned up against the counter.

"What am I gonna do with you, kid?"

The kitten looked up at him, licked his whiskers, and meowed happily. The purr that erupted from the things throat was surprising, and almost made Bastian jump. He laughed at himself and went to close the window when he realized that he didn't have a cat box just yet. He grunted and buried his face in the palms of his hands.

"You're going to break my bank, kid. I can't afford this right now."

He knelt down to pet him, wrapping the tips of his fingers with the long fur coming from his back. He could feel the dirt clumping on his skin and in the strands of fur on him, and he knew that the thing would need a bath of some kind. Well, I am already planning on taking a shower. I just won't take as hot of one as planned...

"Come on."

Bastian picked him up and carried him into the bathroom with him.

Sean took in her story and let him feel the gravity of it. It was better than where his mind was trying to go, and at least what she was saying was relevant to their work. Which was what they were there for. To work. He sighed and shook his head before responding to her.

"Well, I'm very pleased to have someone with your passion on the force with us, Miss Uhrig. I don't doubt your abilities, but I look forward to you proving that you do indeed have them." He smiled reassuringly at her. "And don't worry about things getting intense in our conversations. There's a lot of that around here."

He knew there was more that should be said, but he couldn't quite get his brain to form any of the necessary questions. He found himself glancing around the room, avoiding her place right in front of him. If he was going to be honest with himself, he wanted nothing more than to lock his office, close the blinds, and take her on his desk. It played over for a moment in his mind and got him more than aroused, behind his desk. He cleared his throat, begging his mind to cooperate with him.

"So, Miss Uhrig, how long have you been in Portland then?"

Delanie could tell Foster was reluctant to accept their help. Most kids his age were. They were too proud, too independent, but later he'd be happy he just gave in. She picked up her bags and motioned for the to follow before she spoke, "I'm Delanie, and this is my sister, Allsún. And yeah, she's a little spitfire. Have to watch that one." She laughed and turned the corner, seeing that taxis were already lined up to pick up airplane passengers and take them to their new destinations. "Let's grab a taxi."

She walked over, waved at the driver, and waited for him to open the trunk so that she could put her things inside. Meanwhile she stole a glance over at the kid. Why was he homeless, she wondered, but knew better than to ask. They always got defensive when you did.

"Hope you like Mexican food." She put her things into the trunk and then headed for the car door. This would be an interesting night. Her damn bleeding heart was showing again.

Allsún ended up sitting in the middle of the three of them and she could feel different emotions emanating from both. He was feeling disgusted with himself, obviously for agreeing to the shower and food. While her sister was feeling ashamed of her knack for caring for people when she doesn't want to. Allsún had always known her sister had a soft spot for those in need, regardless of how much she wanted to hide it.

"Hotel Modera, please." She had picked it because it was only a six minute walk from the police station. It would make it easier to keep an eye on Nick Burkhardt if they were close. Some Wesen would be stupid enough to attack him near work. There were always stupid ones.

Annika watched as Sean looked anywhere but at her. This only made the heat between her legs worse. Here they were, both obviously attracted to each other, and trying their best to do anything but let it take control over them. She barely heard his question and almost gasped in a breath when she tried to find words again. She squirmed involuntarily in her chair for a moment, thinking about what it would be like to run her hands down his chest, and cleared her throat before responding to him.

"I've been in Portland for about six years now, because of school, but I grew up in Washington D.C." She had grown up in an affluent family, but D.C. had a lot of crime and she had sadly had to hear about quite a bit of it growing up. "I could have gone to school there, of course, but I wanted a different pace..."

She couldn't speak anymore. Now even her breasts were beginning to react. She looked away quickly, trying to focus on the plaques on the wall in his office, and tried to take steady breaths. She only hoped that he wouldn't notice her reactions as well as she was noticing his. She was the profiler here, right?

Freja walked into work the next morning and dropped the story down on the editor's desk. She waited as he scanned it over and grinned when he began nodding his head and smiling. She winked at him when he looked up and he laughed before complimenting her on her ability to always be on the scene. She took a mock bow, and then another, before backing out of the room and heading out into the office. It would be in the paper the next day and she knew for a fact, after looking at the other papers in town that morning on her way to work, that she'd have the only story on the crime.

I'm so good...

Foster made it a point to sit as close to the window as possible, since Allsún was sitting between him and Delanie. He was sure that the smell coming from him was less than pleasant to anyone who wasn't a fly. He cracked the window, knowing that it would help the smell escape from the back of the cab, and hoped that it would dissipate sooner rather than later. He glanced at Allsún in the cab driver's mirror and gulped. She was, indeed, very beautiful and it was distracting him. He was trying hard than usual to be polite in fear of upsetting her. She was far more intimidating than he originally thought her to be, and he didn't like the feeling of her hand around his neck. He was doing what he could to avoid that happening again.

"Modera's a really nice hotel. The people in the kitchen are pretty amazing, too. They used to give me throw aways whenever they could at one point. Best scraps I've ever had, let me tell ya."

He let out a small laugh and then cleared his throat after a couple moments of silence. He squirmed in his seat and started looking out the window to avoid their gazes. Both of these women intimidated the rebellion right out of him. He wanted to be on his best behaviour for them.

Bastian closed the door behind him and set the kitten down on the floor. He walked over to the shower, turned on the water, and began to undress himself. His boots were the first to come off, and when he placed them on the floor, the laces drew the small creature in and caused him to roll around on the tile with them in his mouth. Bastian looked down and let out a hearty laugh, which in turn made the kitten scramble on the floor and hide in his boot. Bastian laughed again while taking off his socks, placed them on the counter, and then fished the frightened kitten from out of his boot.

"Come on, kid. You don't want to be in there, those things are rotten."

He placed him back on the ground and he immediately began playing with the laces once more, and Bastian finished undressing completely. He grabbed the thing from the ground and rubbed noses with him, feeling his purrs vibrate his entire hand. You've got a strong muscle there, kid...

Bastian held him close to his chest as he walked into the small shower, closed the door behind them, then set him on the ground. The kitten immediately tried to shake off the water from his feet but failed miserably, then proceeded to lick his body. Bastian shook his head and let the warm water roll down his own body, knowing the kitten was about to get soaked from the downpour. He heard the commotion before he saw it. Looking down, he saw the kitten pawing at the stream of water coming onto him while also trying to get away from it, meowing all the while. Bastian grabbed his body wash and poured a little into the palm of his hand, grabbed the kitten, and began to bathe him.

"You need this more than I do right now..."

Sean nodded at her answer and strummed his fingers on the desk. He was getting wary of trying to keep up the charade of not being attracted to her, and he was fairly sure that she already knew it anyway. He stood abruptly and marched to the door, closing it firmly behind him and locking it. He leaned against it and stared at her, gauging her reaction.

"Before you go and assume that I'm going to try something funny, I'm not."

He made his way to the side of the desk she was sitting at and leaned himself up against it. His body was looming over hers and her face was level with his crotch. He looked at the wall to avoid her eyes as he spoke to her some more.

"I'm, obviously," he looked down at his bulging pants," attracted to you. I don't know what it is about you exactly that's making it so hard to think about anything other than what I'm thinking about, but I'm not used to this. It isn't in my character." He cleared his throat and rubbed the nape of his neck. "I want the air to be clear. There will probably be tension remaining, but I don't want you to think that you won't be safe in your work place. You're a beautiful woman, Annika, and I'm going to appreciate that every time that I look at you. Just, please, don't let it interfere with your work. Try not to. And I'll do the same..."

Delanie watched Foster squirm out of the corner of her eye to keep his distance. She held back a sigh and just listened to the sounds around her. The busy streets in Portland were something she wasn't used to in the least. She was used to the peaceful village she grew up in in Ireland. Most of her days were spent training, not gallivanting about and visiting large cities. That would probably be a weakness of hers, and she'd need to work on it. Acclimating as soon as possible was in her best interest.

"That was very nice of them." She stated, after he had told his story. "I've been there myself. I don't think we'll soon forget those that fed us when we needed it, too." She thought back to the time her family had lost everything in a fire. They had been without money and shelter for half of a year. If it hadn't been for the community they lived in, who knows where they'd be now.

"Hotel is a half an hour away." She let out a sigh and shook her head. "This is going to be an expensive ride. I knew we should have rented a car ahead of time."

Allsún listened to her sister speak and thought back to the time she spoke of. That was one of the scariest things she had ever gone through, being homeless, and she hoped that Delanie would let them help Foster for as long as they could. She knew they had a mission to protect Detective Nick Burkhardt, but couldn't they help others out along the way?

"We'll get one in the morning. Sorry I couldn't find us an earlier flight." She let out a long sigh of her own and then looked over at Foster. "How long have you been in Portland? This is our first time every getting out to the US."

Annika found herself face to face with Sean's groin and her first instinct was to reach out and touch it. She imagined herself slowly undoing his zipper, a look of agony and relief crossing his chiseled face. Her breath shuddered in her chest and she didn't bother to try and hide it. Once he had finished speaking she couldn't find words, no matter how hard she tried. She knew that every ounce of lust she was feeling in her body was evident in her eyes and tried her damnedest not to look up at him.

Pull it together, Annika! Shit...

Freja spent that day filing old reports and looking up stories that she could possibly write on. Nothing interesting had happened that day, though, and she was feeling pretty anxious. Coffee...Coffee will fix everything... She stood up and walked toward the stairs, refusing to get the coffee in the break room and deciding a quick trek down to Starbucks was necessary. She passed her editor on the way and asked him if he wanted anything. He declined and told her to just take the day if she wanted. She gleefully accepted, but headed to Starbucks anyway. She needed espresso and she needed it strong. And then maybe she'd make a few phone calls. There had to be a story out there somewhere. Or maybe more on the mystery killing...

Foster didn't recall the hotel being that far from the airport, but he was sure that it was just his mind playing with him. He did so many things lately, walked so many places, he lost track of a lot of things. He looked up at the top of the car and noticed the fabric's pattern woven into each other. He began counting the imperfections he noticed until Allsún asked her question. He looked at her out of the corner of his eye before responding.

"I've been here a few months. I've been on my own since I was 14 at the Grand Canyon. I've just slowly made my way up here over the last three years..."

He looked back out the window and resisted the urge to squirm some more. His mind started wandering to his parents and the people he had met since they abandoned him. Most of them weren't the best experiences, and it certainly left him distrusting of people as a whole.

"It's great that you've been able to get out of your home country for a while, though. I wouldn't say that America is the ideal place to travel, but I guess I can see the appeal to people who don't live here."

His fingers began strumming a rhythm on his leg closest to Allsún's and he accidentally found himself touching her knee. He pulled back quickly, grumbled an apology, and hit his head against the window. Annoyed with himself, he bit his bottom lip to stop from doing any kind of movement or talking.

Bastian finished toweling himself and the kitten off, got dressed, and made himself a cup of Lady Grey Twining's tea. He let it steep for 5 minutes, threw out the bag, and dropped a slice of lemon inside the cup that he had storing in the fridge. He brought the tea out to the small area he had as a living space, turned on the tv, and browsed through the shelf of dvd's he had lined up. His eyes fixed on his copy of "Les Miserables", so he quickly put it in the DVD player and let it start.

The kitten was already curled up on the couch, having previously jumping outside for a few minutes to pee. When Bastian had noticed him doing this, he was surprised, yet pleased that he wouldn't have to worry about whether or not he would go inside. Though he still made a mental note to buy some litter and a cat box at his earliest convenience.

The movie was playing for about twenty minutes when the kitten jumped into his lap and began kneading his abdomen. He looked down at him and realized he still hadn't named him. His eyes caught a glimpse of the screen in front of him and noticed Marius, the movie's leading heart throb. He returned his gaze to the kitten and nodded.

"Marius it is, then..."

The movie ended and he knew it was time for bed. It was nearing ten at night and he had to be up at 3 to deliver the morning paper to the magazine stands. He grabbed Marius, nuzzled him for a few moments, and carried him off to bed.

Sean could see the struggle on Annika's face and it did nothing to help the situation. He stood quickly and began pacing the room, fingers anxiously running through the short bit of hair he had. His mind kept bouncing with what to do. His body was aching for this girl, after having just been sitting with her for five minutes, and yet he knew there should be nothing done about it. Today was her first day and he was already contemplating defiling her work place. He stopped dead in his tracks and turned to her, offering his hand to help her stand.

"Come with me."

He unlocked the door after dropping her hand and waved at the people glancing at him questioningly. They approached the receptionist and he spoke to her calmly.

"Please tell anyone looking for me that I'm throwing our new profiler into the field. I had someone call me who needs help analyzing someone and it needs to be hush hush. If they call asking, forward them to my cell."

He patted the desk once and headed out the front doors of the building, walked down the steps and rounded the corner to the parking lot that was holding his car. He walked to the passenger side and held the door open for her.

"Get in."

Delanie listened to the boy's story and looked down at her lap. So his parents had abandoned him then. Lovely fucking people. She couldn't even begin to imagine what that must have been like. Her parents, luckily, had been very loving parents. Her father, a little too dedicated to their mission, may have been difficult at times but he always meant well. There was never a lack of love, it just wasn't always shown in ways that may have been normal to others.

She watched him touch her sister's knee, watched him shrink back, and she almost laughed. Was he horrified because he was afraid of her or was it something else? She was guessing it was fear.

Allsún felt Foster touch her knee and then watched him rip his hand backward. She raised her eyebrows and looked over at him, wanting to gauge the look on his face. "Are you okay?" She asked, not wanting him to think she was angry or anything. "I'm not going to hurt you...again. Sorry."

He's afraid of you. Lovely.

Annika obediently followed Sean, not sure what it was he was doing exactly. Taking her out into the field? That's the last thing she wanted at that very moment. Maybe, though, it would be best for them both. As much as she wished he'd tear the shirt from her body and take her pale breasts into his mouth, so knew that it would only make her job complicated. And yet still, she longed for this many already... Maybe Portland wasn't the best choice for a job.

She followed him out into the parking lot and noticed her car down the way. She looked along the cars, wondering which one was his. A big SUV was her best bet. He seemed like a large car kind of guy, but never a truck. She held back a sigh, staring at the lines of his muscles through his button up shirt. He had forgotten to re-tighten his tie. She wondered if the receptionist had noticed.

When he held the door open for her and demanded she get in, her groin tightened and her heart sped up. She listened, luckily not stumbling in, and waited for him.

Freja had gotten her coffee, made some phone calls, and came up with nothing. She let out a long sigh, staring at her computer in her apartment, and decided it was best to just turn on the TV and see if anything good was on. Of course, after checking, there wasn't. What did she expect for the middle of the day?

She opened her blog, a news blog she kept secretly under a pseudonym, and asked her followers if there was anything juicy they'd like to share with her. She only hoped her fans came through. There were 33,000 people in and around Portland that read her blog. One of them was bound to have something. I hope...

Foster twisted his mouth in embarrassment. He had hoped neither of them would have said anything. And while Delanie had been silent, Allsún hadn't been quite as much. The fact that he was attracted to her made the whole situation more embarrassing. He sighed, tore his gaze from the window, and looked her square in the face.

"It's not exactly that you hurt me, because honestly I've been through a lot worse. It was just... kind of a trigger for me. Like I said," he looked ahead of him, "I've been through worse... I just wasn't sure if something would make you upset again. I didn't want that."

He slouched in his seat, wishing that this car ride would go a lot quicker than it was going. Being in the backseat with both of them wasn't the most ideal situation. It was cramped, hot, and awkward considering his attraction to Allsún. He wanted to touch her again and it wasn't usual for him. He avoided romance. He detested intimacy. To him, feelings were entirely illogical. Though, what he was feeling wasn't an emotional feeling, strictly a physical. Which was a part of being human. Still, he didn't like that he was feeling it and he didn't want them knowing he was feeling it.

Bastian's alarm buzzed at 3 a.m. and he immediately stretched, slowly rolled out of bed. Marius stretched on the bed below him and he couldn't help but smile when he curled back into a ball, paws covering his face. Bastian shook his head and grabbed his designated clothes for the work day. It was only a five hour work shift, but it paid decently considering it wasn't that hard. He dressed, put his hair back into a loose bun, and headed out the door.

The streets of Portland were still busy at 3:15 in the morning, but certainly not as busy as during the daylight hours. He headed to the office that printed out the papers and stocked the work van full of the stacks of tabloids. He groaned, realizing he had a splinter in the palm of his hand. He wondered how it got there.

Sean closed the door firmly after Annika slipped into the passenger seat, and walked aggressively to his side, got in. He put his key into the ignition, pulled out of his parking space, and drove down the road for a few minutes. He could feel the tension building in the car, but he didn't want to break it just yet. He was hoping that she would just keep her mouth shut until he wanted to her to open it for his cock.

He parked in front of a dirt road and got out of the car, let her out of her side. He grabbed her hand and dragged her down the path, then off on a side path that led into an opening. There were a couple of trees around and he immediately knew that he wanted to take her against the tree. He guided her over, put his own back against the tree first, and shoved her onto her knees before unzipping his pants. He pulled himself out, throbbing and ready, and entered her already gasping mouth.

Delanie felt the awkward tension in the cab as soon as Foster was done speaking. Allsún had obviously hit a soft spot with the kid. She groaned and looked up at the cab driver. "Is there a faster way to get there?" When the cab driver sped up she nodded her head. "Thanks."

They were still a good seven minutes away and she was dying to get out of the car. She began to question why she was helping this kid. He was only going to slow them down. At the same time, she'd regret not helping. Torn, always torn. She was getting so tired of this.

Allsún bit down on her bottom lip and chose to stay silent. She took a deep breath and let it exhale slowly from her lips. The car ride could not get over any sooner and she was silently thankful that her sister had the cabbie speed up. She didn't want to be sitting here having this awkward conversation anymore. She just wanted to be shoving her face full of burritos, tacos, and nachos. Anything to slice through this awkwardness.

Annika felt two things as Sean Renard started to fuck her face, and neither of them was shame. She was shocked and extremely pleased. She could tell this was something he never did and that excited her to no end. Whatever had gotten under her skin with him had gotten under his skin with her as well. She almost began to think about what this meant for their future work relationship, but dashed it aside, wanting to focus on the hard length in her mouth. She began to bob her head up and down the length of him, digging her nails into his thighs to keep herself steady. She had never done anything like this in her life. Surprisingly enough, she didn't care. She could do this every day and be the happiest girl in the world. That makes me sound fucking horrible...

She once against dashed any negative thoughts from her mind and focused on his pleasure, wanting to feel his hot cum on the back of her throat. He had to be the sexiest man she had ever seen and there was no way she'd let this be the last time she wrapped her mouth around his cock.

Freja went back to the office even though she had been given the day off. She did this occasionally, but the lack of stories bothered her and made her want all the more to return. Luckily, though, her big murder story was plastered on the newspaper today, instead of tomorrow. Soon everyone would be buzzing about it. If only she could find out more about why the man was killed.

Why can't I have a connection in the police force? Damn it...

Foster knew that he had just made the ride even more awkward and he wanted nothing more than to just take back anything he had said that was negative, or even made it seem like he was taken aback by her at all. To be honest, he kind of just wanted to kiss her. But being a 17 year old homeless kid didn't exactly bring an abundance of charm to the table. He sighed and addressed her.

"Look, I didn't mean to make you feel bad. Or make anyone more uncomfortable. I'm okay, I really am. You were justifiably upset when we first encountered each other back at the airport. I would have slammed me into a wall by my throat, too." He heard the cabbie clear his throat and Foster glared at the back of his head. "You both are being more than generous to me. I don't want us to have this heavy cloud looming above us the entire time I'm around. Shit, I don't even know how long you'll keep me around. I'm the stray dog with fleas, not many people are into having that around for too long. And I'm okay with that... Just... Don't be afraid to turn me away. I'm used to it. Okay?"

Bastian took the last stack of papers to the final stand of the morning and leaned up against a post that was beside it. He sighed, wiping his brow with the sleeve of his shirt before taking his complimentary copy of the paper in hand. The old man he delivered this particular stack to always let him take one. He nodded at him, smiled, and saluted the old man before heading back into the van. He placed the paper on the seat next to him while he started the car, made a sideway glance down at the front page before starting to back out and off the side of the road. He stopped and braked immediately when he noticed the house he was at the night before.

The headline read "Murder: But for What?" He read the first paragraph of the article and quickly flipped to the page that held the rest of the piece. He finished reading and noticed the journalist who put it out.

"Freja Nystrom... Were you there?!"

He pulled off the side of the curb and quickly made his way back to the office to pick up his car. It was almost 9 in the morning, and he was in desperate need to get to the paper that printed this bit of news.

Sean grunted and tugged tightly on Annika's wild, red hair. She looked up at him and it just made his cock jump inside her mouth. He drove it inside even deeper, making her gag a bit. He grunted some more, going faster and enjoying the gurgling coming from her. Her eyeliner was starting to smear at the corners of her eyes and he could see small tears forming. The fact that he was fucking her face so hard that it was making her body react this way was enough to send him over the edge. He came inside her mouth, hard and violent.

When he was finished, he pulled her up and pinned her against the tree, He shoved his tongue inside her mouth, playing with her own, tasting himself on her. He groaned, hands searching her body, longing to touch her where he knew she was waiting for him.

Delanie could tell that Foster was starting to form a crush on her sister, even if it was a mainly physical thing. She felt bad for him, though. Allsún wasn't likely to return any kind of feelings, even physical ones, towards the young kid. Allsún was ready for marriage and kids, even if she couldn't have the right now. They had to protect Nick first, and then Delanie would make sure Allsún could finally have that home life she wanted. Somehow.

"Well kid, you might be stuck with us if we like you enough." She watched as the hotel loomed in the distance. "I'm sure we'll like you even more once you've showered, and luckily we're here." She winked and paid the cab driver after he pulled up to the curb. She gave him a tip, thankful for the fast driving, and bid him farewell. "Let's go get a room, shall we?"

Allsún was happy they had pulled up to the hotel when they did. She climbed out, grabbed her bags, and then turned to Foster. She smiled at him before speaking, "Not everyone in the world will throw you away, Foster. I hope one day you can see that." She started to pull one bag behind her, the other two thrown around her shoulders, and resisted letting out a sigh. She hated when parents damaged kids to this extent. It may not be all their fault he ended up like this, because obviously he'd been hurt by more than just them, but it was their fault he ended up like this in the first place.

Annika was a little too happy to swallow the cum that powerfully struck the back of her throat. The sting in her eyes only excited her more. And when Sean finally pushed her against the tree, his hands exploring her shaking body, could could barely contain all that she was feeling. His mouth shooting inside her tongue brought a moan from deep in her throat and she eagerly met his with her own, wanting to taste every inch of the inside of his mouth. He was everything a man should be, she could tell, and it sent every nerve in her body wild.

She couldn't stand it anymore and grabbed one of his hands, pushing it down toward the hottest part of her body. She wanted to feel him touch her, knowing that the pleasure shooting through her was all because of him. She wanted to memorize every detail of his touch so she could go home at night and relive it over and over again.

Freja looked at the clock and realized it was 11:57. Only almost noon. She wouldn't take a lunch until two, she thought, because she had had all morning to laze around at home with her coffee. Her editor had been surprised, but not disappointed, to see that she was back. He had always seen her as a dedicated worker, and that may have been true, but she was feeling a bit discouraged just then. She needed this story to advance, so she'd have some new details to share, otherwise she may lose it. I have way too high of expectations of myself. She let out a sigh, checked her messages, and frowned. Still nothing...Damn it.

Foster flushed, embarrassed with the shower comment. He knew that she was teasing him, which he knew meant she was fond of him to some extent, which in turn made him feel more at ease with them. The fact that Allsún made the effort to console him at all brought warmth to his heart. He didn't often find kindness within strangers, and they had been showing him an abundance tonight. Aside from throwing him up against a wall in a choke hold, that is.

"I appreciate it.. Both of you. Thank you so much."

He smiled then, holding his head with his hand as he did so. He scratched where his hand was grasping and felt a bit of relief, both physically and emotionally. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he was glad that he had followed them back at the airport. He hoped that what Delanie had said was true; that if they liked him enough, he would be stuck with them for a while.

Bastian had gone to the newspaper's office to find that Freja was, in fact, out already. He had left a message with the front desk lady to let her know he was in need of her attention, that it was about a story of hers. He had left his name and a phone number to reach him on. He figured he wouldn't hear from her for a couple of hours at the very least, so he made a trip to the pet store to see if there was anything he could afford to get Marius at the time.

He pulled into a parking space and took a deep breath before venturing into the store. He traveled down the aisles, glancing at the various pet foods. There was a brand that seemed very high end and a 5 pound bag ended up costing $14.99. He scoffed and looked at a bag several columns down and saw the price displayed $7.99 for a 7 pound bag. He debated and then finally settled upon the purchase. Several aisles down, there was the kitty litter and boxes. He saw a box pan that was only $3.99 and grabbed it. Off to the side, he noticed litter that was $5.99. He rearranged the items in his arms so that he could grab the box's handle before taking it to checkout.

He drove back home and set up the litter box just inside the bathroom door. He then looked around his studio to find Marius, but he wasn't anywhere to be found. He approached the window and started making noises to call him inside. Within a few short minutes, he came prancing up to the window, and down onto the counter by the sink. He meowed, happy to see him, and pawed at him until Bastian picked him up.

"Yeah, yeah.. I'm happy to see you too."

Sean explored Annika's wetness with his entire hand, engulfing as much of her as he could. He rotated his pointer and middle fingers around her clit, teasing her and causing her to squirm against him even more. He bit down on her collar bone, wanting to feel the shudder that would be caused by it. When the reaction was given, he slid his two fingers inside her, working her spot. That she was neatly trimmed was a severe turn on to him, and he was anxious to get her out of her pants and onto his cock.

He pulled his fingers out from inside her and proceeded to unzip her pants. He pulled them and her panties to just around her thighs, turned her to face the tree. He took off his jacket and placed it under her cheek, so the bark of the tree wouldn't scratch up her face. He ran his hand down her spine and simultaneously slid his cock inside her. They both released groans of pleasure, then he began to thrust in and out of her. Slowly at first, and then his pace grew steadily faster, a bit harder. He continued to pump himself in and out of her, hands firmly gripping her hips. He could feel the climax building, and he wanted desperately to make it last just a bit longer. He wanted to feel her cum around him, feel those muscles convulsing because of how good he was making her feel.

Delanie laughed at the change of atmosphere and mentally let out a sigh of relief. She walked up to the fancy counter. Why had her sister chosen this place? It was going to cost so much. She got them a room, which was entirely too much, and shook her head at her sister as she led the way to the elevator.

"Are you nuts? Dad is going to kill you for the price of this place." She pushed the button leading the the fifth floor and watched as the doors closed. The floors went up slowly, luckily no one joined them on their way up, and soon they were walking off onto the floor.

Allsún rolled her eyes as the elevator made its way up to the fifth floor. When it stopped she followed her sister off the floor. "He gave me permission, thank you." She scowled at her and then smirked. She followed behind her sister still, anxious to get into their room and get stuff put away so that she could eat something. She had been starving for at least four hours now. When her sister opened the door she grinned widely, glad it was a s nice as she had expected. "Foster, the bathroom is there, and my ass will be on the bed over here. Waiting impatiently for Mexican food." She stuck her tongue out and planted her butt on the bed furthest into the room.

Annika was relieved that Sean was strong, because if he hadn't but holding her up as he pounded into her from behind she would have fallen from her knees giving out by now. The man filled her entirely, and it took all that she had not to scream out. She bit down on her bottom lip, and sure enough it began to bleed. The coppery taste only set her nerves on fire all the more.

When he picked up speed she could no longer hold back her screams, letting the first one out before trying to clamp her teeth down again. She succeeded, but it was soon thwarted again as the orgasm rose up inside of her and then came down on her all at once. Body writhing and screams erupting she pulsed around Sean's hard cock. She had never felt this way in her entire life and later she knew she'd question every single time she thought she had had good sex before.

Freja took a deep breath, wadded up a piece of paper, and threw it into the garbage can. Noon and she had absolutely nothing to do. She wasn't used to this. She checked her e-mails again, three minutes having passed since the last time, and just sighed. She looked around her and noticed two co-workers flirting with each other and held back a laugh. He had been crushing on her for months and the girl had been oblivious. Maybe he'd make his move now and save them all the agonizing pain of watching him pine over her each and every day.

The receptionist brought a piece of paper over and placed it on her desk. She looked down, saw a name and number, and wondered if it was about the article in the paper that morning. She called, found no answer, but left a message to let this Bastian know that he could come in whenever he liked. As long as it was before five, that is. She'd be gone and stuffing her gob by then.

PostSubject: Re: Our Grimm RPG   Our Grimm RPG EmptyFri Sep 11, 2015 12:27 am

Foster gaped at the room before them and wondered how anyone could afford a room like it. He shook his head and remembered that not everyone was as bad off as he was. Most of Portland was actually in significantly better shape financially, physically, and emotionally than he was. He gritted his teeth and nodded before heading off to take that shower. He didn't exactly have clean clothes to change into, but he did have something that was at least less dirty than what he was wearing.

He took his backpack off before starting to undress himself. When he was completely nude, he took a look at himself in the mirror. He could remember a time when his ribs weren't showing, where he actually had a little more chunk than was desired, and his body wasn't scratched up and bruised. He wiggled his nose at his reflection, wondering what exactly he did to his parents that provoked them to leave him like they did. He got angry at himself for thinking about them again and punched himself a good few times to get it out of his mind. He squared his shoulders then, and turned on the water for the shower. It had a rainwater showerhead, which he recognized from other hotels, and he was pleased to see this. It was his favourite kind.

There was a bar of soap wrapped up and complimentary bottles of shampoo and conditioner. He quickly took the soap in his hands and took the wrapping off, immediately taking it to his skin and using it on every inch that he could reach. He took the shampoo in the palm of his hand, when he was done with the soap, and worked that into the grease mop that was his hair. When all of that was thoroughly rinsed out, he conditioned his hair. When that was all said and done, he stood under the stream of water and let himself warm up.

He thought back to Allsún and the way her lips moved when she spoke.. The way she looked at him as she said "Not everyone in the world will throw you away, Foster." The way her eyes softened.

"UGH..."

He got out of the shower and redressed himself, returning to the room where the girls were waiting for him.

Bastian stirred from his spot on the sofa and realized that he had dozed off. Marius was content on his chest, snoozing away. He gently picked him up and placed him on the cushion next to him. He grinned at the soft meow that emerged from the little one's mouth. He shook his head and stretched, releasing all the tension that was in his muscles from his short nap. He looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was just past noon. He rubbed his eyes before checking his answering machine.

A woman's voice rang through the speaker and he quickly realized it was the journalist who wrote about the paper. He shoved his feet into his shoes and grabbed his coat, yelled back to the kitten that he would be back later.

"Ha, as if he can even understand what I'm saying."

He walked out the door and locked it behind him, nervously heading towards where he knew Freja would be waiting for him.

Sean felt the reaction he was waiting for and decided to let loose all that he could into Annika's body. He pounded into her without any reservations, no holding back. He used all the force he could muster and made her scream even louder than she previously had been. He grunted in unison with his thrusts and felt himself reaching orgasm. He picked up his speed and released his load deep inside her, letting her convulsing muscles squeeze all that was inside him.

When they were both finished, they slid to their knees and he wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. He panted into her shoulder, unsure if he would be able to stand or not. When he was sure he could move properly, he helped pull her underwear and pants back up to their proper places. He kissed her cheek softly and ran his fingers through her hair, gently massaging her scalp.

"I hope you're doing okay.."

Delanie began to unpack her bags while Foster was busy in he shower. She couldn't unpack the weapons because she hadn't planned to keep them in the room. No, she'd have to find a way to organize them in the trunk of a car as soon as they managed to actually buy their own. The essentials she could carry on her, which she always did, but if they came up against any Wesen that could only be taken down in specific ways those essentials will be useless.

Every once in a while she'd steal glances over at Allsún who was also getting her clothes unpacked into one of the two small dressers in the room. The water from the shower could be heard loudly in the room and Delanie cursed herself for not thinking about clean clothes for the kid. As much as she'd hate him for it later she'd buy him clothes and wash the ones he already had by the end of the next day. He may not like being helped, because he probably saw it as charity, but she didn't care. Someone had to be good to him for once.

Allsún made sure to put her underwear and bras away first, wanting to make sure that she was done before Foster came out of the bathroom. They'd done enough to embarrass him that night and she didn't want to rub salt in that wound any further. She knew that he was attracted to her, and she was flattered, but there was no way she'd go there with a seventeen year old boy. Six years younger just wasn't on her to-do list. He was a handsome kid, though, and if he cleaned himself up and had a better chance at life he might find someone special someday. For now, though, they'd just have to help him out the best they could.

When he walked out of the room she smiled over at him. "Feel better?"

Annika melted when Sean kissed her cheek and began running his fingers through her hair to massage her scalp. That's when fear began to strike her. Was this going to be it...? She choked back her feelings, though, and turned her face so she could just see his. She smiled, "I'm doing wonderful." She let out a small laugh and leaned back into his chest some more. "This was definitely a first for me."

She wasn't sure how to feel in that moment. Regret wasn't on her list of possibilities, but nervousness was on that list with the fear that was already eating at her. If this was a one time thing, work would be awkward. If this was just sex, and they'd be finding time to just sleep together, things could also end up awkward. And in the end there was always one possibility...what if she fell in love with him? She had such a soft heart, after all.

Freja had been sitting around waiting for this Bastian guy to show up. If he had any information on her recent article she was more than happy to hear from him. Then again, what if he had been the one to kill him? It wouldn't be the first time you had someone come in, wanting to talk to a reporter, because they wanted to make sure no one was on to them. Reporters showed up dead because of that. She was smart, and she'd have a close eye on him, but it was still always a possibility.

I WOULD get myself into that sort of thing. Grandma will kill me if I get killed...ha.

Foster smiled as he ruffled his damp hair, looking around at the girls as they were unpacking their things. He wondered what kind of stuff they brought with them, weapons of any kind? He thought there was a large possibility and was trying his hardest not to ask. He didn't want to intrude on their personal matters, and he also didn't want to upset the relationship they were starting to build. Maybe he would ask them later.

"Much. Thank you." He grinned at Allsún and pulled at the clothes he was now wearing. "I hope these at least smell better than the last ones. I had found a bit of laundry detergent last week and washed them in the river. So it's at least not as bad as they were before that..."

He looked away sheepishly and realized how bad it must have sounded to them. In all honesty, he was having it a lot better -than anywhere else - since being in Portland. For being homeless and alone, he was actually not too unhappy at the moment. He just hoped they weren't looking at him with an overload of pity.

Bastian parked on the side of the curb and placed a dollar of quarters in the parking meter after he exited his car. He leaned up against it for a few moments, trying to calm his breathing. He could sense his beast trying to come through amidst all his nerves. He hoped this woman hadn't seen him searching the man's house. The last thing he needed was someone finding that out and trying to accuse him of the murder itself. No, he had seen a glimpse of the Wesen who had done that to the poor guy. He knew it was at least a Balam, a jaguar-like Wesen.

He huffed one final time and headed towards where Freja had told him she would be in the office. He rounded the corner, walked past the receptionist who nodded at him in recognition, and approached the journalist's desk. His hands were starting to sweat and he felt a ripple go through his body; he shivered.

"Miss Nystrom?" He waited for her to look up at him to continue, but she seemed a little busy at the moment, not quite hearing him. "I'm Bastian Durant, I'm the one that left the note for you about your article..."

He shuffled to the side once, hands roasting in his pants pockets. He could feel himself starting to tremble harder, signs that his body was fighting to Woge, so he bit his lip to focus on a bit of pain instead of transforming.

Sean held her close to him still, smelling her hair, her skin. He was no longer outside of his pants, but the pants were still undone. He kissed the side of her neck and stood to fix his wardrobe the best he could. His jacket had small splinters from the bark in its threads and a bit of sap as well. He grinned quietly to himself and offered to help Annika up off the ground.

"Come on. I think we both could use some coffee after this little rendezvous. What do you say?"

He smiled down at her, waiting for her to take his hand. He didn't want this to be the last time he was alone with her. He wasn't sure if he wanted more than just sex, life was a little complicated for legitimate romance, but he knew he enjoyed her presence as well as her sexual company. For now, he would leave it as it was: sex with a beautiful woman whom he worked with. He shook his head once at himself as he helped her to her feet, appalled that he let it get here already. He looked at his watch and realized it had only been 45 minutes since she walked through his office door.

Good God, Renard... You've set a new record for yourself.

Delanie looked over at Foster as he spoke about his clothes. True enough, they were must better, but she stood by her thoughts of buying him new clothes. The kid deserved it, after all. "Those will do nicely, kid." She winked at him. "I still think we should get you more clothes, though, and maybe let you use a washing machine in the hotel. And before you say no, shut up, I'm getting you clothes."

She put a few pairs of pants into the bottom drawer and then let out a long sigh. "We lost everything in a fire once, so I know what pride is. But sometimes you have to let that shit go and take what you can get."

Allsún let out a long sigh at her sister and then continued to unpack her things. Delanie was always demanding, not the best with emotions and communication, and sometimes in rubbed people the wrong way. She was beautiful, so often times she got away with it, but sometimes it got them into a bit of trouble.

"What she's trying to say is that she cares about your well being and doesn't like that you've been let down so many times. She wants to help, as a friend, to get you on your feet a bit again."

Annika managed to get her clothes looking decent after he had helped her to her feet. Looking at him though, she couldn't help but giggle a bit. He was a bit of a mess. "Coffee sounds good, but they're going to think you've been climbing trees all day." She winked at him, brushed a bit of the bark off of his clothes, and refrained from sighing.

"Lead the way, gorgeous." She took a deep breath and decided to just run with this. Either she'd end up heartbroken in the end or she wouldn't. She'd been here before. Maybe just enjoying a guy for once would be a good thing. Maybe it was just what she needed.

Freja looked up at Bastian, who had been trying to get her attention, and her eyes narrowed ever so slightly. Sweat on the brow, shaking, obviously biting the inside of his lip. She knew these signs all too well. He was holding back a Woge. She had had this problem for a time herself, and the last thing she needed was for him to Woge in her workplace and scare everyone. I'm sure it's the last thing he needs, too. I've got to get him out of here.

"Why don't we walk out back and talk. It's a little stuffy in here, no?" She stood and pointed toward the door that would lead them down the back staircase. She just hoped he could keep it together until they were out of view.

Foster went to object, but thought better of it. He could tell that Delanie's mind was made up, and Allsún's added statement just confirmed it. He nodded in agreement before leaning up against the wall. He would have loved to lay down for a bit, but he knew they were wanting to go get that food. He was decently hungry himself, but sleep was something his body had had less of lately. He could survive off of one decent sized meal a day, which he generally got, but he hadn't gotten more than three hours of sleep the last two nights.

His eyes wandered over to Allsún and he watched as she unpacked her things. He was observing how she moved when folding her clothes and setting them in the drawers. She was graceful in everything she did. It caused more stirrings below his belt and he wanted to look away, but couldn't stop.

"Damn it.."

Bastian nodded at Freja, happy to be getting out of the large room of watching eyes. He knew it would help his nerves more, and maybe the cool air in the back would help even more. They stepped outside and lifted his head to the sky, breathing in the air. Instead of helping matters, it made them worse. He Woged then, body shuddering violently, but tried to reject the transformation. His face would form in and out, body breaking out in a heavy sweat. He sunk to his knees on the ground and bit into his lip again, trying to keep it contained.

"Aagh!..."

Sean winked at Freja and grabbed her hand to lead her back to the car. He glanced back at her from time to time, admiring the way her hips were moving and the way her hair bounced with each step. Her eyes sparkled up at him and he wanted to kiss her gently in that moment. He stopped, pulled her against his chest, tilted her chin up towards his face, and placed his lips softly upon hers. He wrapped his arms around her, pushing her body fully against the line of his. He let his tongue explore her mouth once more, but less hungry this time and more just curious. His tongue grazed along her teeth, feeling their points. He sucked her top lip with his mouth, then moved onto the bottom. He ended the kiss with a slow kiss of their closed lips before releasing her and smiling. He kissed her forehead before continuing back to his car.

Once they were both safely buckled inside, he started the engine and headed towards a cafe that was roughly ten minutes from where they were. He had a feeling she would like quaint and quiet versus a raging Starbucks.

Delanie was glad that Foster didn't try to argue with them on the point. She threw the last of her pants in the bottom drawer and then turned to look at her sister. She had brought twice as much clothes with her as Delanie did and therefore wasn't anywhere near done with unpacking. She let out a sigh, "Maybe we should go eat and you can finish that later. I'm starving and tired."

She looked over at Foster. "He looks pretty tired too." She was hoping that the nearest Mexican food place wouldn't be miles and miles away. She didn't think she could handle another half an hour car ride for food. If all else failed, she'd just order Chinese takeout. It wasn't tacos and burritos, but she'd deal.

Allsún had looked up the nearest Mexican place and found that luckily it was only a fifteen minute walk away. It was a place called Santeria and according to the internet it had a pretty good rating. She grabbed coat from the chair she had draped it on, shrugged it onto her body, and smiled over at the other two. "Ready when you are!"

They headed back down the elevator and out the front door, into the cool Portland air. She had barely gotten to see much of Portland, but so far she loved it. It was so busy, which was completely new to her, but she loved the lights and the sounds. She only hoped she could sleep through them. "I believe it's down this way." She pointed down the road, paying close attention to the street signs.

The kiss had shocked Annika and had her weak in the knees. If Sean's hand wasn't holding onto hers and they continued the walk back to his SUV, she may have fallen over. What had come over him to kiss her as passionately as he had? She wasn't complaining, by any means, but she couldn't help but wonder what, in that moment, had been going through his head.

The drive to the coffee shop, which she was happy to see was a cafe and not a mainstream place, felt like it went on forever. She wanted to say something, anything, but she couldn't think of a thing to say. She was glad when he pulled over and parked and took a few deep breaths through her nose, trying to gain her composure. He's your boss and you just let him fuck you against a tree. What would mom think? Ha. That's a funny thought.

Freja had gotten him outside just in time, because she could see that he was starting to Woge. She paid close attention, trying to gauge what he was and hoping they weren't natural enemies. She didn't want to Woge right along with him because he was a weaker race that her inner beast felt the need to attack. It didn't happen often, because she had managed to get a good hold on herself, but being Pflichttreue could be unpredictable. Luckily he was a Löwen, which could have been potentially dangerous if she had been male, but luckily being a woman paid off for her this time around.

"Try to calm down. Breathe through your nose." She backed up two steps, trying to give him space. "Think about something calming. Anything."

What set him off so easily, I wonder? Did he know that man who was murdered? Or is he scared that I think the killer is him?
